Dear friends!

We are really looking forward to meet you on our wedding on saturday 23th of september 2006.

As in Portuguese tradition all guests participate to the wedding ceremony, reception, photo session, lunch and dancing party with buffet. The address of the wedding party is Sítio do Camejo, Azenhas do Mar (janas), 2710 Sintra, Portugal. www.sitiodocamejo.pt

Now another thing: "The wedding list!"

Lots of people are asking us “What do you want for your wedding?” Well, in fact, we don’t really want anything! We’re just very happy to welcome you all on our wedding and your presence is already a big present for us!

Nevertheless people kept on asking and, as we thought a long time about it, we finally came to the conclusion that we didn’t want to make a “classical wedding list” with porcelain cups and silver spoons.

However, since we both like to travel a lot and travelling has a lot to do with “our story”, we came up with the idea of giving you the possibility to sponsor a bit of our honeymoon we’d like to make to… New Zealand!! So guys if you want to help us on this big travel this would be a great present for us! Of course we’re happy with any present or even with nothing!

On this trip we want to make from 25th of September to 20th of October, we’re planning to travel for about 45 467km! On our way to New Zealand, we’d make a stopover of a couple of days in Thailand, and on our way back we’d spend a few days in Sydney. Of course a trip like these is not for free so if you want to help us, we promise to get you in return, apart from our eternal “thanks, great friend!” some nice reports with pictures from the other side of the world, personalized of course with a description of the part you helped us to reach!! So! To get both of us 1km further we think we need about 0,11 € ! So dear friends and family, every km you sponsor us will get us further and further. Ok so you can also stop sponsoring at 23000kms so that will be an easy way to get rid of us!! (please don’t! ;-) )


How does it work?

If you want to help us (again, don’t feel forced please!) send an email to either Jan (janvannespen@yahoo.com) or Selma (luna1981@hotmail.com) reporting us the number of kilometres you would like to sponsor us! Then we’ll send you the details further on. Every kilometre is welcome even if it’s just one! ! ! We’ll then update the website, of course not revealing your privacy details but yes the progress in our travel (“how far we got yet”;-)). So then it’s nice everyone can follow the progress. Well thanks a lot already!

[NL] The Wedding List - Huwelijkslijstje

Beste vrienden en familie,

We kijken er naar uit om jou/jullie te ontmoeten
op ons huwelijksfeest
op zaterdag 23 september 2006.

Naar Portugese gewoonte nemen de genodigden deel aan alle feestactiviteiten: huwelijksmis, receptie, fotosessie aan het strand, feestelijk buffet en dansfeest. Wij zorgen voor een bus mét chauffeur die u naar de verschillende locaties voert.

En wat ons huwelijkslijstje betreft …?!

Vele mensen hebben ons al gevraagd “Wat willen jullie als trouwcadeau?” Wel, eigenlijk willen we niets. We zijn heel blij jullie te verwelkomen op ons trouwfeest en beschouwen uw aanwezigheid, hetzij in Portugal op het feest zelf, hetzij op de trouwreceptie achteraf in Beveren, als een groot geschenk. Ondanks alles willen we u toch de mogelijkheid bieden indien u ons iets wil schenken om dat op een leuke manier te doen.

We hebben geen klassiek “huwelijkslijstje” maar, omdat we allebei enorm van reizen houden - ons “verhaal” heeft immers alles met reizen te maken - zouden we graag op huwelijksreis gaan naar… Nieuw-Zeeland!
Van 25 september tot en met 20 oktober zullen we niet minder dan 45.467 km afleggen! Op weg naar Nieuw-Zeeland willen we een paar dagen in Thailand verblijven, en op onze terugweg nog enkele dagen in Sydney (Australië). Uiteraard is een trip van dit kaliber niet gratis. Als u ons wil sponsoren op deze reis, beloven we u in ruil daarvoor leuke reisverslagen met foto’s van de andere kant van de aardbol, gepersonaliseerd met een beschrijving van het reisfragment wat we dankzij u gemaakt hebben! Om ons beiden 1 km verder te krijgen, hebben we ongeveer 0,11 euro nodig.
Beste vrienden en familie, elke kilometer die u sponsort, helpt ons een beetje verder!

Hoe werkt het?
Als u ons wil helpen - nogmaals, voel u zeker niet verplicht! - kunt u mailen naar Selma (luna1981@hotmail.com) en/of naar Jan (janvannespen@yahoo.com) met vermelding van het aantal kilometer dat u ons wil sponsoren. Dan mailen wij u de verdere details.
Onze website zal u dagelijks informeren zodat u weet hoe ver we nog verwijderd zijn van onze bestemming!
